Do natural shampoos contribute to hair loss?

Has anyone noticed that using natural shampoos (those lacking sodium laurel sulfate and parabens) make more hair than usual fall out? I have fine, somewhat thin hair and I decided to try switching to natural shampoos to make it stronger...although I've noticed that anytime I use a shampoo claiming to be natural, a bunch of hair falls out in the shower and in my hair brush. Has anyone else noticed this, or does anyone know what this would be the case? (Some of the natural shampoo I've tried specifically says ';for thin or thinning hair';, so I really don't think it makes sense.) Thanks!Do natural shampoos contribute to hair loss?
I doubt it.

Does any1 have any remedies for male hair loss? besides wigs, sprays, shampoos, surgery. ex i heard folic acid

Deal with it... Hair loss is natural... You could just shave it off and wax your head, then you would have nothing to worry about it.Does any1 have any remedies for male hair loss? besides wigs, sprays, shampoos, surgery. ex i heard folic acid
There's only two male hair loss drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Finasteride (Proscar, Propecia, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren't enough studies yet.

If you're into natural stuff, the only one that might be helpful is Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia.

Minoxidil if you buy generic brands it's quite cheap and Proscar if you get the generic version it's reasonably cheap and will last you a long time.

Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.

You can try the following essential oils for massage to reduce hair loss. Grapefruit, Jojoba oil, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
I do not know if things claiming to cause hair growth work. But a good hair cut that suits you can really make a difference. Say no to comb overs.

  • Will shampooing your hair daily aid hair loss?

Hmm. That's not something I have heard before, but I don't have any evidence to back it up either.

I know that some magazines suggest not shampooing hair every day, but I've read in a least a couple that thin hair is an exception because it tends to get dirtier quicker. My family has rather thin hair, and I know that I generally have to shampoo every day because I get such a build up. Most of my family does too. But my dad, who is 46 now, still has all of his hair despite this (you can tell that it is beginning to thin on top, but he hasn't lost any of it). So I highly doubt that this is the case.

I think the main reason for not shampooing if you have thicker hair is because if you shampoo too often then you drain your hair of it's necessary oils. In order to deal with that then, your hair makes even more oil. I suppose it might make your hair less manageable as well (if it's drained of things it needs, it's probably not going to be so awesome), but that doesn't mean it will fall out.

I hope that might help a little bit. Will shampooing your hair daily aid hair loss?

Do you want to lose more hair or stop losing hair? The question wasn't very clear on that...

That aside, I have never heard of normal, daily shampooing being a cause of hair loss or a prevention of hair loss.

Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?

shampooing once a day is best cause it removes dht from the scalp,

I will hereby talk from my personal experience, I suffered a lot due to hair loss.

I started suffering from hair loss some years ago and tried everything.... and then i stumped upon a drug called procerin.... it works miracles!!!

I found an informational site, however this site does not sell the drug itself so you will have to go to the pharmacy for that or consult a doctor... this website is informational only -%26gt; http://medical-one.atspace.com/procerin.鈥?/a>

If this helps please remember me in your voting ;)Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?
Constant meaning everyday? It may do so, if very harsh shampoos are used. Otherwise it shouldn't cause hair loss.Does constant shampooing cause hair loss?

    yes
constant shampooing strips the hair of its natural oils and things that make it healthy. In the long run it will lose all the moisture your hair needs to grow. If you have been doing this then the best thing to do is to stop now and talk to a professional hair dresser about your condition and what you can do.
I doubt it. I wash my hair everyday, and its all there. I have thick thick hair... you lose about 100-200 hairs a day, but they are replaced by new ones.
    well i think it depends.

    if u abuse using shampoo

then it can be an outcome of ur

    doings.

    so be very careful.

Will shampooing the hair result in hair loss ?

Well, over time, life results in hair loss.

Seriously, just use common sense in what you do to your head and what you put on it. If you use mild shampoos and gentle technique, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Also bear in mind that some hair loss is normal. Hair goes through life cycles, and the body expects to have some of it fall out (or get pulled out) through normal daily wear and tear. New hairs will start growng to replace the lost ones if you're young and healthy.

Try to minimize the use of harsh chemicals. It's your skin, and the hair is made by cells in your skin. It's pretty rugged, but can get inflamed or otherwise damaged by certain chemicals.

But then again, most people use really nasty chemical shampoos all their lives and many of them have hair that is just fine. I think heredity and hormones are really more of a cause of hair loss than products we put on it.

For me, I don't put anything on or in my body that has ingredients I can't pronounce. Will shampooing the hair result in hair loss ?
Only if your hair is already loose and beginning to come out.

Hair loss from weight loss surgery, any shampoos that can help?

I had a gastric sleeve 5 months ago and my hair is coming out like crazy, I know it's from low protein and I'm unable to increase that right now (complications from the surgery.....long story). Any shampoos out there anywhere that can help??Hair loss from weight loss surgery, any shampoos that can help?
No. Hair products will not cause hair to either stop falling out or to start growing. These products address the already grown hair, not where it grows from. However you may try minoxidil (branded as Rogaine). It typically takes months to show growth improvement, but in your case it may stop the hair loss nearly immediately. Then, when you are able to intake the protein you need, you can stop using it.Hair loss from weight loss surgery, any shampoos that can help?
No, shampoos are a cosmetic, and by law, cosmetics cannot do anything along the medical line.

There is nothing you can put on your hair or scalp that will make your hair stop falling. You need to correct the cause. Because it is an internal medical condition, you need to correct it internally and medically. Do not be mis-led by ';miracle cures'; for hair loss. There is nothing that has been shown to actually work. No matter what they may claim, they cannot legally actually say it will make your hair grow back, or that it will stop hair loss, because they cannot prove it. Look closely, and you will see they skirt the issue.

If it is lack of protein, that is severe starvation, and should never have happened. There is a hint of malpractice here. You can increase your intake of protein in many ways... you need to find a reputable doctor to help you with this. It is beyond the likes of us.
I'd think that you would want to avoid using shampoos or any hair care products at the moment because your hair is so sensitive. If your really worried about it though I would try anything thats packed with protien like Pantene Pro-V and thats not breaking your bank. If you want something more on the salan side look for shampoos thats have Karitin and Protein extracts. The other road to go would be investing in a full lace wig. They look like real hair and if applied right no one can tell the difference.

What are some good hair loss prevention shampoos?

I thought that I was going bald before, so I shaved my head a week ago to see what it would look like (16 years old btw). Well turns out that I have very thick hair (individual hair wise, average hair count I think). I've never noticed more than one or two hairs falling out when I am in the shower. I even tryed pulling on my hair and only occasionally would a hair would come out. But anyway now to the question. I was wondering if there are any shampoos out there that were really good for slowing down the process of hair loss? I'm not sure if shampoos with DHT blockers (in the scalp) can be used by people under 18. I'm seeing a dermatologist in the next week or two so I'll ask him as well. What are some good hair loss prevention shampoos?
I have very thin and thinning hair, due to some medications I am taking,

Nioxin worked for about 3 months for me and then stopped working. Now I use Ovation Call Therapy, its wonderful! My hair grows so fast, filling in my sparse areas, its so much thicker and falls out WAYYYYYYYYY less! YAY very worth trying, google it.What are some good hair loss prevention shampoos?
It is completely normal to lose 100-200 hairs a day. But if your worried about hair loss you can use Nioxin, which 95% of users have seen an increase in hair growth. It can be found in professional salons.

as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice (you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/ingredients.ph鈥?/a>

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

Question about hair-loss and shampooing. No matter what brand I use, my hair gets thinner.?

I have been losing my hair slowly but surely since the age of 19. Male pattern baldness runs in my family. I am now 36 and I am very close to just shaving it all off as my hair line is really high and it looks terrible to me. I have noticed that every time I wash my hair, it seems I lose more hair, so much to the point that I am scared to wash my hair. I now only wash it once a week but I hate feeling like I have dirty hair and scalp from product and natural oil. I stopped using hair gel as it made my hair look thinner and I hated the stickiness. I found that Garnier Surf Hair helps make my hair look fuller and I can cover up some of the receding better. I have tried shampooing with Nioxin which is supposed to be the best shampoo for thinning hair but again, after washing I just look more bald! I know there is no cure for male pattern baldness, so I don't really know what I am asking here, haha. I see bums on the streets of Hollywood that look like they haven't showered in weeks and they have a great, thick full head of hair. Maybe I should never wash my hair again? I don't know... Just bummed about losing my hair, could use some feedback. Thanks for listening!Question about hair-loss and shampooing. No matter what brand I use, my hair gets thinner.?

you dont have a shampoo problem, you have early male pattern baldness, sorry.

either shave it or get hair plugs.
im 35 and been balding since i was 20. shave your head. im sure you know its your mothers father to be looking at? thats where the bald genes are. liberate yourself and shave your head
well i really like bedhead and pual micthell...i think they both have great products....maybe u could consult a doctor...they might have a great helper for u....=)
Don't give up on your hair! Most people believe that hairloss is from mothers side of family, but it all honesty it is from both mother and father. However, there are so many wonderful products out there such as Nioxin Shampoo and I have personally watched a dear friend of mine recover from hair loss. Just google it and look at the reviews. Also visit Folica.com, Vitacost.com, and IHerb.com and read the reviews of what others are doing thats been successful. Try taking biotin at night as well!

    Good Luck!
Don't use any hair gel/sprays anymore.

Don't use hats to cover your head...

I don't have your hair problem but my hair was getting thin at some point in life, so I changed shampoos from head %26amp; shoulders to treseme to head %26amp; shoulders then changed it to Sunsilk shampoo and Sunsilk conditioners, my hair became thick and heavy.

It worked for my thin hair before. I don't know if it will work for your hair. Good luck.
Actually not washing your will increase hair fall because of the sebum (oily matter) that your hair follicle produces. Fighting hair loss cause by genetics is almost impossible although some doctors I have interviewed claim that it can be stopped, meaning you can certainly slow the process down to a point where your hair stops falling out unnaturally due to sebum or DHT.

I agree with the earlier post that said there are prescription medications but the side effect are not worth it in my opinion.

Before you go and shave your head try some home remedies for hair loss first and without getting into a huge discussion, try eating better by including foods that have the required vitamins you need to grow hair.

  • Hair loss - do shampoos or conditioners make any difference?

I've always had thick hair that covers my entire head. I even had Beatles style bangs well into my 20s. As I grew older I had shorter haircuts and parted my hair to the side. More recently, an over zealous barber took too much off and revealed to me a pronounced widow's peak and recession of the hair line.

The part that's recessed (temples) still has some hairs, seems mostly like short baby hairs. Because of this and because there's no baldness on either side of my family, I am thinking (perhaps wishfully?) that shampoos and conditioners may make a difference. I've never used conditioner, and use basic off the shelf shampoo.

I have been noticing dandruff so I may definitely benefit from better hair care products, but I just have no idea what to use. A lot of the stuff advertised on the net seem like Snake Oil Sales material...Hair loss - do shampoos or conditioners make any difference?

Hi, You are absolutely right. Hair loss is not always hereditary. It can also happen by a chemical called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and its close relative Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) . I have done a lot of research on this topic because even i was looking for an SLES free shampoo. The day i stopped using my regular shampoo and started using ZULVERA herbal hair shampoo my hair loss has stopped.

    Official site of Zulvera: http://www.herbalhairshampoo.com

You can find more information about this SLES free shampoo at http://golden-reviews.com/hairloss/
There are many different shampoos that have ridiculous ingredients in them to increase hair loss.

Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?

I do not shampoo my hair often cause it does not get oily/dirty fast... i may even leave it for month(s) before i shampoo it :P. sometimes when im stressed i pull out the hairs with the roots... but now im starting to worry if i will go bald when im older... (im 16, male). should i start shampooing my hair regularly if it helps prevent hair loss?

also any recommendations on how i could help myself not go bald in my future.Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?
Shampooing will not necessarily prevent hair loss. It can help remove some build up, which can clog your follicles, but your biggest problem is pulling out your hair.

What you need is to seek out a professional that will help you deal with stress so that you will stop pulling out your hair. When I was stressed, I used to eat; now, I do things like go for walks, write short stories, play video games, swear (a lot)...anything to keep my mind off of the bad habits. That is the key--replace a bad habit with a good one. It will take a while, but at least you will save your hair.Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?
    No problem. Good luck.

Shampooing does not prevent hair loss, but you should wash your hair and body every day as it is healthy and sanitary. The most common type of hairloss is caused by a naturally occuring chemical that attacks the hair follicles on the top of your head and shrinks them. This can be slowed down with rogain and other types of medicines. Another way to permenantly lose your hair is by damaging the follicles in some way. Other things also cause temporary hair loss, but as long as the follicles do not get damaged that type of hair loss is treatable. The worst type of hair loss is obviously male pattern baldness, which can be slowed down but not reversed. The only way to treat that is with hair follicle transplantation. Ask about your grandfathers, if one of them was bald you may have the gene too. Good Luck
Well, first off, stop pulling your hair out! lol You can break that habit by finding some other way to deal with any stress. Also, I wouldn't imagine it is good for you to go months without washing your hair. If your hair doesn't get oily/dirty that quickly, start using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and use is every other day. Even if your hair doesn't get oily, it will at least make sure your scalp is kept clean and moisturized.

    5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?

go to your doctor or dermatologist.... I had the same problem and I'm 23 I tried using some shampoo's that stores sell and it made it worse...My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
If it is stress related or genetic Nioxin is the best you can buy. However, it could be something else. Most prescriptions are cheaper than that shampoo and conditioner. Go to a doctor. Your scalp is an extension of what is going on inside, if its off balance there is a chance something needs to be checked up on.My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
mm. i say you should stop using whatever brand you're using now.

if you're hair's dry, then use the shampoo and conditioner that would help it. if it's not dry, then don't use the shampoo for dry hair cuz that is adding oil to your scalp, and that will clog up the hair follicals, making it hard for your hair to stay put and hard for more hair to grow.

    eat healthier.

    sleep more.

    drink a lot of water.

and from time to time, do a handstand to get the blood flowing to the brain. it's a yoga trick.

if you can't do a handstand, then lie upside down on your bed to get the blood flowing.

oh...and maybe you should clean your hairbrush or change it.

It's not uncommon to find a B12 deficiency in women who suffer hair loss. BIOTIN (a vitamin) is also essential for hair growth- it's a major component in the natural hair manufacturing process and is essential to not only grow new hair, but it also plays a major role in the overall health of skin and nails. You can buy BIOTIN at any drug store in the vitamin section.
    I have the same problem.

mine started when I was about 25

    first, get your thyroid checked.

your doc can do that with a blood test

then, if everythings normal with results, go to a dermatologist.

they will check for female pattern baldness-does anyone in your family have thinning/bald head of hair

ask to get a prescription for minoxidil 5%, they sell this in 2%, and 4% over the counter, but these aren't strong enough

eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water, massage your head daily, don't put hair in severe ponytails/hairstyles, and try not to let stress effect you!

    Best of luck!
    bye a wig
    r u bald yet?
nioxxin is the best. they even have vitamins that help.
Are you under a lot of stress lately?

Create a balance and time for you.

    Eat balanced meals, exercise.

Also if it is really bad, see your

doctor to ensure your receiving the

    right product.
Use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. It's made specifically for that reason.
Nioxin...try better drug stores..like rite aid
Reagen Hair reactive Shampoo and Hair Tonic.German Product. You can get it from the nearby pharmacy.
Usually, loss of hair can mean you're not getting enough iron in your diet. Stress is also a factor, I hate to say. You can take a supplement called Biotin, Folic Acid, and before considering an Iron tablet; please see your Doctor. You're pretty young to be losing your hair. It's probably a simple thing; try the supplements, stay away from stress and put more iron in your diet. Good luck:)
first of all, we drop an average of 60-100 strands of hair per day. at your age, u wun hav a permanent hairloss. There's also a possiblilty of hormones change which is temporary. You can try Lorael Kerastase Prevention for the shampoo and the tonic to apply after every hair wash. Just this 2, no extra(the stylist might intro u another package which is more expensive).
It's perfectly normal to lose hair each day (though I don't know the average number of strands), so I'd only worry if it's coming out in clumps or is seriously damaged. If damage is what's causing your hair to fall out, I suggest using Stephen Knoll's Deep Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Use it daily and then use his hair mask (don't remember what it's called) once a week. You'll see a difference immediately. Start wearing a satin cap to bed or sleeping on a satin pillowcase (or both), this way your hair isn't getting caught in the cotton and breaking. Also try not to use too much heat at once - a blow dryer followed by a curling/flat iron can wreak havoc on your strands!
use the same shampoo.do not change it often

but it would be better if u go for herbal or sidda medicine.
human hair sheds every seven years or so, so dont worry too much, but if its an ongoing problem see your doctor about it. if u are a man it could be male pattern baldness!
use loreal shampoo and conditoner.. eat lots of veggies and fruits. stay away from stress.
    Here's what you gotta do:

    1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)

    2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.

    3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.

    4. Mix the bottle.

    5. Use your shampoo.

You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)

If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :)

Does Loreal shampoos cause hair loss?

please tell me the benefits of loreal shampoos because I`m thinking to use their shampoos, every day.Does Loreal shampoos cause hair loss?
NO, they do not cause hair loss. I have been using L'oreal hair care products as well as other products in the cosmetic line for years and I have never heard of anyone experiencing hair loss. I prefer L'oreal to any other brand even salon brands. If you are unsure, you may be able to contact L'oreal consultants through their website and address your concerns directly with them.Does Loreal shampoos cause hair loss?
I don't think they necessarily cause hair loss. If it causes damage to your hair it may cause it to break off or your ends to split. Breakage can appear to be hair loss. Honestly the best products to use are professional products. The drug store and grocery store products are not pH balanced where as the professional ones are.
    Hair loss? No.

    Loreal's shampoos are not bad.
you are ignorant, of course they don't cause hair loss
yes they do they made me go completely bald

Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?

I'm a 20yr old male in college and I seem to be thinning on my hair. Well maybe not thinning but every time I scratch my hair or just brush it 4-8 strands of hair would fall off. I also have it in my dad's genes as it was passed down from my grandfather. Is there a proven shampoo that can slow or reduce hair loss as much as possible, make my hair more thick, and really works? I've noticed this just recent years but any further in past not really cause I was still young in my teens. I use to use head and shoulders but currently changed to Dove for no reason. I don't have serious dandruff, only have very little and heard that if you use too much head and shoulder you can get more dandruff if you don't have much to begin with. Anyway any advice would be great, thanks. Please let me know where to get the product that is being recommended also thanks.Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?
You could use Nioxin. Do not use baby shampoo, it's only gentle for babies eyes and skin, it's very bad for the hair. You could also talk to your doctor, he or she could per scribe a medication to help you out.Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?
I recommend Awaken and Replenish hair growth shampoo. It contains Trichogen which is a botanical alternative to Minoxidil. It works very well for hair loss and thinning. Nioxin is good as well but primarily marketed for ';thin'; hair - which might be equally as good a solution.

I'd also recommend using hair nutrition vitamins. They're good for increasing growth, strength and shine.

    Good Luck :)

What are the treatments(oils, shampoos) available for stopping loss of hair on the scalp?

I have been having hair loss on my scalp since 4-5 years. I have taken treatment back in India though but I would like to know the treatments availble in USA. Kindly lemme know.

ThanksWhat are the treatments(oils, shampoos) available for stopping loss of hair on the scalp?
Why spend the money? Many women these days find bald men attractive. Save the money, shave your head and start having fun. It's not whats on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside. So, try what I suggested, and see what a difference it makes....What are the treatments(oils, shampoos) available for stopping loss of hair on the scalp?
Stay away from oils and pore clogging products. Go and get a good scalp massage a couple times a week.
well this isnt for u.s but didnt you try sesame oil. i know in the usa people with hair loss use rogain. maybe u should talk to ur doctor about hair vitamin pills to see if it works. well good luck
There is a full line of products brand named ';Nioxin'; available specifically for thinning hair. The only product available that helps regrow hair is ';Rogaine.'; Unfortunately, once you start using it, you must continue using it or you lose what you have gained. Good luck.
Provillus is a new and revolutionary herbal medication to treat hair loss in men and women. Provillus comes in a convenient tablet form that is taken daily for the treatment of male hair loss and female hair loss. Provillus is an all-natural supplement available without a prescription.

Provillus first works to reverse the effects of the hormones that caused the initial hair loss. By using RNA, nutrients are delivered to the hair follicle, and the follicle will slowly become stronger and thicker.

Provillus eliminates clogged hair follicles by dissolving dead skin cells, scalp oil (sebum), and residue from shampooing and may reverse the damage caused by DHT. Then, RNA works with your natural DNA processes to deliver vital nutrients to the follicle.

Provillus provides hair follicles with capsicum, amino acids, and essential minerals to prevent NDF (Nutrient Deficient Follicles, the third leading cause of premature hair loss). With proper nutrition and increased blood flow to the scalp, dormant follicles can begin producing healthy hair once again.

  • Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?

i'm in my early 20's and...you know the rest!...so, any sugestions are welcomed!Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Go to a local hair salon. They should have a few different choices on products that will slow down the loss of hair. I usually sell Nioxin but there are more out there. Most of the time, it will come in a kit with 2-3 steps.

Keep in mind most of these products do no regrow hair....I have sold several myself...occasionally it will produce some baby fine hair but it isn't the same. However, most of them will aid in retarding the loss of hair.

I hope this helps.Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?
hi to be honest if your going bald theres not a lot you can do ive been losing my hair since i was in my twenties %26amp; i just have got used to it as it is hereditary in my family !

but i also blame my mother she swore by the shampoo wash %26amp; go when i was younger '; wash %26amp; go more like wash %26amp; gone lol '; i just laugh about it now ! but dont let it get you down if your that worried about it why not just shave your head ! i
I know that Nioxin makes a good product for fine and thinning hair:

    http://www.nioxin.com/index.cfm?objectid鈥?/a>

You should also consult a dermatologist to possibly begin taking Propecia.

    http://www.propecia.com/finasteride/prop鈥?/a>

It has the potential to help you stop losing hair and may even regrow some of the hair that you lost.

I don't think there are any shampoos that will stop hair loss as hair loss is caused by a chemical on the INSIDE of your body.

    Good luck to you!
    Rogaine has shampoo.
mane n tail thickens hair. it just cost $8 a bottle. or $7. it is good.
Hair falls due to genetic reasons, stress, pollution, thyroid imbalance, chemicals in hair styling products and lack of proper nutrition. Home remedies are cheap , natural and without any side effects. Some of the home remedies for treating hair fall are:

1.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair.

    2. Massage the head with oil for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with a shampoo. A hot oil massage with olive oil will also help.

3.Apply a mixture of lemon juice and juice of amla to the scalp. This also helps control dandruff in the hair

    4. Boil neem leaves in water for an hour and let it cool. Wash the hair with this water. Alternately neem oil can be mixed with coconut oil and massaged where there is hair fall

    5. The juice of fresh coriander can be massaged onto the scalp will reduce hair loss.

    6. Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.

    7. Apply conditioner only to your hair not to the scalp or hair roots. The conditioner could damage your hair. Henna (mehandi) will help control hair loss.

8.Try to reduce the stress and tension in your life, learn to relax. Stress causes hair loss.
    get a wig !!!!!!!!!
None that work sadly or you'd never see a bald man in his 30/40's etc....hair loss is hereditary..if you dad or grandad is bald so are you gong to be my friend!

Its quicker and cheaper to get use to the fact your going to be a slap head and stop worrying about it...worrying gives you stress and stress will just speed up the process.
hmm.. well I don't know about shampoos, but I've heard that a good way to reduce hairloss is to wash your hair in warm water, not hot (and I wash mine every other day with shampoo, not every day)
a hair net or shave it and everyone will get used to it
i found this for you...........Thicker and fuller hair with Toppik UK hair loss treatments. ... Hair Treatment | Thickening Shampoo | Hair regrowth product | Thick Hair | Hair Loss Shampoo ........at.www.hair123.co.uk
you can bye shampoos that thicken your hair but the only ones that would really work and you would notice a difference is a product called kerastase which you can only go and buy in salons and it is quite expensive but kerastase is a very good brand!
    leave in conditioner,,,but not a weekly thing,,hair breakage,hair loss,is due to lack of vitamin,and also stress,,and try and use less dryers,irons and such,,,,go naturall,,for a while,,give your hair a rest....
the more you mess with it the quicker it will start to go just wash it twice a week in a mild shampoo and conditioner and style it with what ever products you use, enjoy your hair while you can(sorry)...
I agree with Julie who said Nioxin... that's the best thing out there... Rogaine is OK, but as soon as you stop using it, the problem is back, because Rogaine's active ingredient is a drug, once you stop using it the symptoms return, so you must use it for life. Nioxin isn't something that you necessarily can't stop using (but it's better if you don't) plus it's all natural so you don't have to worry about side effects.

Go to a salon that sells Nioxin to have a stylist recommend what formula you should be using for your hair, or you can read more about it on their website... http://www.nioxin.com/

    Hope this helps you!
shampoos only wash hair and make it shiny or flake free. you need to go to the health department and find some solutions to use.

What shampoos help hair loss ?

I want to know what shampoos help hair loss that I can find at a close drug store? What shampoos help hair loss ?
For men and women, the Dermenodex Scalp Cleansing Shampoo for fine and thinning hair cleanses and removes impurities from your scalp to help promote healthy ..Hair loss treatments such as vitamins for hairloss and shampoos can be an effective tool for stopping thinning hair and promoting healthy hair growth. What shampoos help hair loss ?
Try hair loss shampoos and watch the results closely. If you are in the beginning stages of hair loss then a hair growth shampoo might suffice as a hair loss treatment.

Consider hair loss treatment pills. If the hair growth shampoo does not do anything for your current situation then you might want to try hair loss treatment pills. These pills help stimulate the hair follicles and regrow the hair that is lying dormant underneath your skin.
why would you want to help hair loss? you should probably be trying to hinder hair loss.
when I shampoo, I get hair loss, so I stopped and I only condition it

Can my hair loss be caused by Head & Shoulders Shampoo?

I hav been using head %26amp; shoulders for about 2 month now. I started using this becuz i had dandruff. It's working on the dandruff really well. Yet, a few weeks later, i got sick and had a fever. After the fever, I hav been losing a lot of hair ever since. This is scaring me a lot. Every time a brush my hands thru my hair, at least 2 pieces come out, and im no even brushing that hard. I tried using the shampoo, Pantene I used to use, but I still list a lot of hair. Can anyone help me and giv me some advice? This is really scaring me.Can my hair loss be caused by Head %26amp; Shoulders Shampoo?
I have never heard of shampoos causing hair loss. Now hair that is abused by over combing when wet, over dryed with blow dryers etc. can make your hair brittle and break off more but not kill the growth center of the hair itself.

Pulling tightly on the hair consistently with hair styles like braids, corn rows, pig tails etc. can cause damage to the hair follicle itself and cause some permanent hair loss but not over all balding or large bald spots.

There are other causes of hair loss that are hereditary also.....look in your family and see if there is a pattern of thin hair or baldness that runs in your family.

I hope that this helped. Can my hair loss be caused by Head %26amp; Shoulders Shampoo?
Probably not from the shampoo. If you get very sick, your hair can thin out. Try to make sure you are eating right and avoiding things that can damage your hair. (dyes, bleach, excessive heat, etc.) You lose hair every day, without noticing it. If it doesn't get better, and you are still concerned, you may want to ask your doctor about it.
I was in the same situation, i am 14, believe me, if u r a teenager i think there is nothing to worry about, thats what the doctor said, it is normal, and yes i think head and shoulders may have a part in it!, i think it is too strong for hair to manage, especially young hair lyk mine, if u live in england u would be familar with the soap brand/shop LUSH, my mum bought me a hormonal hair soap shampoo from there calles NEW, its pink and contains natural things lyk cineamon, which is the stronest, i hve been using it for 3'4 months now and believe it does work gradually

    dont be scared though lol

    hope i helped
Hair loss is natural in most people. I don't know how old you are, so forgive me, I don't mean to offend you. If you are middle aged, it is natural for your hair to thinnen out.

If you are a teen it is natural due to hormone levels.

If it is a new shampoo, you may just be adjusting to it.

Also, if your hair is thick, it is natural for your hair to become quite brittle if it needs cutting. I personally find that I loose LOTS when straightening, even though I use heat protection, and then some when I brush it.

It's completly natural to loose your hair, your body is getting rid of the unneeded things..

If you stress over it, you will loose more, as stress distrupts your hormone levels, which cause hair loss and also acne problems.

If you are really worried, see a hairdresser, or use a hair endurance shampoo... I know that H%26amp;S actually does an anti dandruff hair endurance?

    Hope this helps, Ginger x
you losing your hair is regular. You actually lose about 150 a day. its natural and supposed to happen. calm down..breath..

And not talking showers daily can make it seem like your losing a lot in one time but its nothing to stress over.
The hair loss may be if you use a lot of heat on your hair or if you dye your hair regulary

I've been using shampoos that are quite creamy to give moisture to your hair for a few months now. How do I solve this??I've been using very creamy shampoos and is causing some hair loss. How do I solve this?
    1) Quit using the shampoos!

Use a different shampoo for a week or so, see what happens.

    2) Try taking Saw Palmetto, B-Vitamins, Vitamin C, and most importantly Vitamin A.

If these vitamins don't work, you'll need to try a commercial product.

DHT causes hair loss. The most effective way to stop hair loss is a commercial product. It will be your last resort. The link below can help you out. Without us noticing, we lose a certain amount of hair each day. Your hair is part of your identity, so it is never good when you begin losing it. Fortunately, there are some natural remedies you can use to regrow your hair.

    1. Honey and Egg yolk:

Massage into your scalp honey with egg yolk. Leave it in your hair for thirty minutes and then rinse.

    2. Almond Oil:

Two to three times a day massage almond oil into your scalp, this has been proven to stop further hair loss.

    3. Apple Cider Vinegar and Sage Tea:

When taking a shower, rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help your hair grow.

    4. Lime Seed and Black Pepper:

Grind an equal portion of lime seeds and black pepper in some water and apply it to your scalp regularly.

    5. Aloe Vera And Herbal Powder Triphala:

For about three to six months apply a mixture of aloe vera and herbal powder triphala to your hair, this will help you to grow new hair.

    6. Mustard Oil;

Boil 1cup mustard oil with 4 tablespoons henna leaves. Filter the mixture and bottle it. Massage the mixture on your scalp regularly.

    7. Fenugreek Seeds:

Make a paste by grinding Fenugreek seeds with water. After you oil your hair, massage the paste on your scalp and leave it for one hour before rinsing it out. Every morning repeat it for a month.

    8. Warm Castar and Almond Oil:

Mix equal amounts of warm castor and almond oil then massage it over your scalp at least once a week.

    vitamins A and B

I've been through the same thing you are and what I use to help prevent hair breakage is ApHogee. It stops hair breakage, rebuilds hair structure for six weeks. It is mostly Ideal for permed, tinted or relaxed hair. You have to first wash your hair with a shampoo that prevents hair breakage then you put the ApHogee all in your hair and sit under a dryer or blow dry your hair until your hair gets very hard. When you get the bottle there's also directions in the back of it. GOOD LUCK !
I dont think the problem is the with shampoo nor the oil your using im 80% sure that your having a lack of vitamins try googling about vitamins you need to re-grow your hair and does hair loss run through your family ? if so then then you cant do anything it will automatically happen
Dont know what Muscat is....but dont shampoo everyday...and get a gentle shampoo and deep condition.

  • Hair loss on staff terrier i,m using malaseb shampoo?

All my dogs have had good coats, however I hardly ever bath them. I clean them off with warm water after a dirty walk and IF we have a good summer I sometimes bath them and leave them wet. I can bury my nose into my dogs coat, who has not been bathed for about two years and she smells clean and sweet and so does my house.

I think that the hair loss stems from a dietary problem. My present dog and perhaps my dogs which are long gone have suffered with various problems which I now realise were because of what I gave them to eat. I think that your dogs problem could be resolved by feeding a grain free dog food. I will paste some info from my archives, hopefully this will help.

鈥?I have learnt by my mistakes. My present dog had dreadful problems because of the food which I gave her, I experimented with dog food, I tried raw diets, cooked diets and over the years I tried various dog foods. She did not like the raw diets and the dog food that I gave her resulted in diarrhea. As an experienced dog owner I introduced any changes gradually. Nevertheless my dog still had problems. She was eight years old before I resolved her problem.

Eventually, because of my researches on the Internet I found that the experts have discovered that GRAIN in our dog鈥檚 diet causes many problems. I now know that grain creates acidity in the blood. This causes skin problems, digestive issues, allergies, sickness, diarrhea, anal gland problems etc.,

if your dog has skin problems or any of the above problems PLEASE CHANGE THE DIET. Avoid Grain, rice, beef derivatives and dairy food

I now give my dog a dried food which uses beet for fiber and fish. It鈥檚 called Fish4Dogs and I buy it on the Internet. Look on the Internet and investigate yourself. Gluten free dog food is not enough to help our dogs, it MUST BE GRAIN FREE.

A rapid change of diet will upset your dog; any change of diet must be done gradually. Do please change to a grain free diet. I have had sixteen dogs throughout the years and they have had various problems. Perhaps if I had known about the dangers of GRAIN they would have had fewer problems. .Hair loss on staff terrier i,m using malaseb shampoo?
I have a 6 month golden with the same problem. If you're in the UK I think you can only get this shampoo from a vet anyway. We have managed to stop the hairloss by, washing all bedding in non bio powder at boil wash, changing to hypo allergenic dog food, no dairy products/wheat, antibiotics and the same shampoo. We have also been putting anti lick cream on as we think she was licking it due to habit once the infection had gone. She got the all clear from vet last night but have to continue with bathing once a week for 4 months to make sure any deep irritation goes.

Hope this helps.Hair loss on staff terrier i,m using malaseb shampoo?
As you have malaseb I assume you've been to the vet. Try adding a spoonful or so of raw liquidised Spinach to his/her food every day as well as about a teaspoon of corn oil. Give it a couple of weeks or even a month to work, it does take time but a lot of people find it works. If it doesn't have a look at your dogs diet, put him/her on a chicken and rice diet, it can take up to 3 months to work but is worth the effort. Remember though, nothing but chicken and rice.
I breed and own staffi's and do not recommend bathing them unless they absolutly need it or the vet has said too.

with these dogs having short close nit fur they get cold very quickly especially when wet.

if you wash your dog on a regular basis you are not giving the dogs natural oils chance to build up properly again before washing them off. these oils protect the fur and skin are there to help keep skin healthy too. excessive bathing of a dog can cause hair to fall out and skin problems to occur.

i would say try not washing your dog for a while and see if their fur starts to re grow. if this does happen dont wash your dog more than once in 2 months unless they have been somewhere dirty or smelly like ponds and mud puddles. i let mud dry on my staff then groom it with a curry comb this gets all the mud and loose fur out with out the need of a bath and encourages the natural oils to form by brushing.

    need more advice? mail tilliandzeus@yahoo.com
i no this sounds stupid but have you checked that your dog has not got fleas, as if not treated can cause hair loss.

Also my dog was alergic to dust mites and that caused hair loss we took him to the vets and he now has injections every 6 months and we have no problems.

If it is not fleas i would take your dog to the vets before you start using different shampoos, hell can take test to see if your dog has any allergies.

    good luck
there are lost of reason for hair loss in dogs, fleas, allergy to anything really but food allergy's are common so try a diet change to something like JWB or RoyalCanin, over brushing, over bathing.

if it continues then the vet can do allergy tests to find what is affecting your dog.

jodie does have a point, b1tches do tend to mault before a season, but due to the coat type of the SBT i dont think they would lose much hair at all if any, its more longer coated dogs with soft fur.
if you are making your dog have a bath everyday then dont use the shampoo everyday. Maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Even if you are making your dog have a bath everyday, its not good. Make him have a bath every 2 or 3 days.

Also after every bath, bow dry your dogs hair and then comb it a lot. It will reduce hair fall.

    Good luck =)
Has your vet prescribed Malaseb specifically for your Staffie's condition? It's quite harsh, if effective when used for the correct purpose so I'd be careful.
If it is female it just shows she is coming into season and is quite normal
    Mange. go to a vet.

Shampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?

what brand of shampoo and conditioner can i find at any local walmart or target that won't make my hair fall out? i've been losing ALOTTT of hair lately and i searched it online and found out it may be because i've been using pantene pro-v. so are there any good shampoos and conditioners outt there that won't make my hair fall out? i have really long hair almost to my butt and it looks weird if its long and too thin. help please!!!Shampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?
uhh yeah they do actually why dont you research it a little before you go throwing words of reject around there chief. detergant( soap )is a double sided molecule which is why it can bind to oil and water. hence drying up your hair. when you dont have hydrated hair it drys up and cracks. thats one of the main reasons people get split ENDS because they are the dryest part of the hair. conditioner doesnt do much believe it or not. it doesnt cause your body to produce more vitamins or anything it basically saturates your hair with essentials and once you wash it away the onlything that is left is MINERAL OIL.(with some vitamin deposite) hence silky smooth. however, your hair doesnt absorb ANYTHING through hair. it is DEAD. NOT LIVING , and what the root and folicle head absorb isnt nearly enough to do anyting for your hair. conditioner is a scam. consulting your doctor is the best way to go but completely unneccesary because there is no such thing as a shampoo that wont make your hair fall outShampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?
I'm sorry you are having this problem. I wish I could give you a thumbs up on any drug store brand. The truth is; most inexpensive shampoo's contain strong detergents, that is why they create so much foam. These detergents are not good for any ones hair, a good rule of thumb; the less they cost the more detergents, alcohol and harmful ingredients they contain, so avoid them.

I would suggest you find a salon in your area that carries Nioxin products, they will help a ton. Also make sure you are taking a good multivitamin everyday. Don't fall into the trap buying vitamins for hair growth, they are an expensive scam. You will get more for your money with even a generic multivitamin. They carry an excellent one at Costco. Also drink plenty of water.

You should avoid all chemical treatments; tints, bleaches, chemical straighteners, perms etc. And always make sure to use a protective balm on your hair before you use a blow dryer, straightening or curling iron.

If you don't see improvement you really need to see a dermatologist.

    Good Luck!
Hi there, well for starters i am really big on hair growth as well as good inexpensive products for healthy hair. Lets just say im a product junkie who had to do research and try different products to find the best ones. But i think you should try products that are sulfate free and have no harsh chemicals. Look for a shampoo or conditioner with more natural products in it such as natural extracts like coconut, aloe vera, jojoba, soybean, rosemary which all helps healthy hair grow and keeps it from shedding, Not sure of your ethnicity but these products are good for ethnic hair and they are in some non ethnic hair products...and yes certain shampoos and conditioners can make your hair fall out due to harsh chemicals. But my recommendation is Bio Infusion shampoo and conditioner and they are very light weight, not oily or thick and greasy. They make your hair soft and bouncy with lots of volume and it keeps hair from shedding and breakage due to natural products. You can find it at your local Walgreen's and not expensive at all. I hope this helped and good luck!
Shampoo and conditioners with no silicone in it. Read the ingredients and make sure nothing in the ingredients ends with the word ';cone';. These are very drying to just about any hair types.
shampoo and conditioner don't make you hair fall out! Main contributors to women loosing hair is birth control and post pregnancy. You can ask you primary doctor for help And they can help with hair lost

Try any and all Nioxin products! They are made for hair loss by professionals sold in salons!

http://www.nioxin.com/Does anyone know of ANY type of shampoo, vitamins or products to use for hair loss? My hair is falling out!?
i read that the #1 hair growth pill in the market is called provillus. it brings quick results.

    www.provillus.com
if u are looking for a shampoo, u should go to any pharmacy and ask for ducray shampoo or pregaine shampoo

but shampoo alone will not be effective , u should look for provitamin B5 ampoules and apply them 3 times weekly to the scalp

also, take food supplement to provide good nutrition to your hair
Sounds like you're stressing out about stressing out. I don't think there's a magical shampoo out there that's going to stop your hair from falling. If you do find something that claims to be - it could have so much of the right stuff that it proves itself to be superficial. You should try focusing more on what you eat and having a healthy life style. Relax.
Start messaging your scalp with a hair oil/hair dressing that contains natural herbs and vitamins. I use Mane 'N Tail Carrot Oil Cream and Olive Oil Cream. Use the balls of your fingers when messaging your scalp. This will help the blood to circulate which stimulates the hair follicles which promotes hair growth. Do this at least two times a week.
I heard that drinking alot of milk helps, and you could go to any GNC vitamin store and they sell vitamins for your hair. Also tea tree oil shampoo helps.
go to a professional salon and get this stuff called nexus. it really does work because i dye my hair to much and my hair was starting to fall out and i started using it and in 2 weeks my hair felt so thick.. like it use to be and now i dont use it at all and i havent had problems since. nexus is mainly for hair loss. its expensive though. ya dont do dove.. dove is so bad for your hair.. i went to beauty school and tested alot of shampoos... and dove has a very high PH balance.. which drys your hair out.. its just like perming your hair. and dont use Lorel (spelling) that stuff is so bad. and dont use suave that stuff is even worse. trust me.dont go to a drug store either.. go to a professional salon.. oh and nixion is a great product as well. its best out of all... but its even more expensive.
try dove, after i had my little girlmy hair started to fall out bad
You NEED to get on the Nexxus VitaTress Thinning Hair Solutions program. It is a non-drug approach that targets all 7 major causes of thinning hair. Buy the starter kit, it has vitamins, shampoo, and a conditioner. BEST OF LUCK!
Garnier shampoos r really good,After using it my hair has really become strong %26amp; i never observed hair fall,Also u can try this,Get some methi powder %26amp; make it in to a paste ,apply on to hair %26amp; wash after 20 min,U;ll find the difference
try taking puritan's pride vitamin for the hair. they are have a good sale right now - can buy one bottle, get one free. also can buy 2 bottles, get 4 free. it helped strengthened my hair. good luck!
Check your drug store, they have vitamins directly for hair and nails. Shampoo, buy a mild one that volumnizes, the new L'Oreal Pro Vive is very good. I use it for highlighted hair, but they have a volumnizing one too. Always use conditioner and rinse it out well, they say, if you think you've rinsed enough, rinse once more

Shampoo 2 prevent men head hair loss!?

    Hi all,

what brand of Shampoo (preferably natural one!) is good to prevent my head hair losing!

I'm already using Monoxide every night but need other alternatives since this is not catching up with my hairs falling off!

thanks heaps!Shampoo 2 prevent men head hair loss!?
anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also used herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

What shampoo stops or slows hair loss?? Does Nioxion or Nourish help?

Like, I've been shedding hair like crazy this year and it's driving me insane. My scalp is starting to become visible. Especially when its wet. But when it's dry it's not that bad. You just have to comb through it to see it. Now I know you lose 100 hairs a day, but... I'm 18 and it's a huge blow at this age. It's not a big concern at this time but i'd like to tackle it before it's to late. The Nioxion said it gets rid of DHT so that might be good. So any suggestions would be good. Thanks. What shampoo stops or slows hair loss?? Does Nioxion or Nourish help?

    Hair loss shampoos - trichotillomania?

I suffer from trichotillomania ( hair pulling) i have stopped for the past 4 weeks. I would like a shampoo/product that will encourage my hair growth and make it look thicker as i feel that a more noticable affect will allow me to fight the urge for hair pullin. There is a treatment but that is 拢1500!!!Hair loss shampoos - trichotillomania?
There is nothing you can put on the outside of your hair that is going to make your hair grow faster. There are some coating products that will make your hair slightly heavier and feel thicker, but they also may have unpleasant side-effects.

Now that you have stopped the pulling, you just need to wait and let the hair grow back. It most often will. There may be a few roots that have been very damaged and the hair may be slightly deformed, or misshapened. Rarely, some roots will have been destroyed and will never grow back.

The best thing is just to leave it alone, and it will grow back. Have patience.Hair loss shampoos - trichotillomania?

What shampoo has tree oil to stop hair loss?

Tree oilWhat shampoo has tree oil to stop hair loss?
I don't know about any shampoos with tree oil in it, but you can buy T- Tree oil seperately at your local walmart or beauty store for like $6 bucks.. I know a lot of people especially african americans who use tree oil to help prevent breakage of hair. They'll just shampoo their hair with a good strong shampoo and conditioner, rinse, then afterwards pour and let the tree oil run down the scalp of their head and massage into their scalp everyday. I don't know if it helps for people with already bald or LOSS of hair, but it can help stop breakage of hair which leads to loss hair.. If you are losing hair, you may want to check your doctor to find out if medications may be the reason or medical problem.. Also, I know there is some stuff called organic root growth system that is like shampoo, creams and what not..but I know it's sold to african americans at a beauty shop. What shampoo has tree oil to stop hair loss?
Tree oil for hair loss???? Sounds bogus to me. Go get yourself a prescription for Propecia, that stuff actually works. They even have generic Propecia out there on the web, that works too.

I've got terrible dandruff that causes itching in scalp and hair loss, can u suggest a remedy/shampoo please?

head %26amp; shoulders has no prominent effect on dandruff even after regular use %26amp; causes hair thinning.i m also having hair loss.I've got terrible dandruff that causes itching in scalp and hair loss, can u suggest a remedy/shampoo please?
u can use a shampoo called NIZORAL.....this is a medicated shampoo specially made for dandruff......u can use this and this should take care of the same.

alternatively, u can try using lemons on ur hair.....cut a lemon into 2 halves and rub them on ur scalp....this should take care of it as well (but there is a possibility that ur hair will turn white) with prolongated use.

the best treatment for dandruff is NIZORAL.I've got terrible dandruff that causes itching in scalp and hair loss, can u suggest a remedy/shampoo please?
try this very effective remedy for danadruff

Go get some apple cider vinegar and add 1/4-cup of it to the same amount of warm water and put some of it on your scalp. Cover your head with a towel for half an hour and then get in the shower and rinse it out, thoroughly, to get some much needed relief from the itchiness and scaling of dandruff. You only need to do this once weekly.
so try this...regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks. if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the e to kick in. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins two months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online. five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. good luck
Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner is good, use it as a regular shampoo also if you wish

  • Are there any shampoo's out there, that help prevent hair loss?

Have you ever tried the line of NIOXIN, we use it in the salon. Nioxin is used for clients with fine and thinning hair, or noticeably thinning hair. It comes in 2 types one for chemically treated hair (color, highlites, perms),and one for normal hair. You start out with a starter kit it has a sm. bottle of cleanser, which is shampoo, scalp therapy which acts as your conditioner and a special product which works against balding, it comes in a foam or wetter based sprays. I have alot of clients that have used it after chemotherapy and have had awesome results. the starter kit is usually around $39.00 i would suggest not using it with any other products and when u completed all of the kit to move to the individual bigger bottles. The great thing about it is that if u stop using it u will not lose any more hair that u had or have from using the product. You can find this product at Mastercuts, regis, and JCpennys. I hope i helped u out a little. MindyAre there any shampoo's out there, that help prevent hair loss?

Split ends are normal. Get regular trims to prevent the splits from going too far up the hair shaft, don't brush your hair when it's wet, don't use too many heat appliances (straighteners, curling irons, too-hot hair dryers) and use a good moisturizer, concentrating on the ends. Also, try taking a good multi-vitamin, that might help strengthen your hair.I have slit-ends and got trimming done 21 days past.i shampoo my hair once in a week due hair loss.please tell

well every day you loose 200 hair it's normal but new one's come back to replace old one's.don't worry.

split end's is due to lack of proper hair care, dry end's and bad weather.

oile your hair tip's and always keep a syser's to hand when ever you see a split end cut it off at the tip yourself.

    good luck.
Start oiling ur hair twice a week.....if u have curly hair (lik me) then u should use almond or olive oil or mix them both in 2:3 ratio.

if u have straight hair u can use coconut oil.

use shampoo which controls hair loss and start using conditioners if u dont.

Pantene hair loss conditioner is really good. dont get ur hair cut every month or soo. trust me i had the same prob but after a month my hair became like wow.

U can also put 3 bttered eggs in ur hair just before wash for 45 min.

and after sum tim u can straighten or curl ur hair or anything...it wont be a bother anymore.....goodluck.
Oil massage is good for the hair more over use a mild shampoo. Don't comb wet hair.
I would suggest you getting a shampoo for hair loss. Not sure which country you;re at, but once a week seems long in this hot climate.
U MUST ASK THE PERSON WHO HAD CUT UR HAIR AS HE/SHE WILL GIVE U A BETTER ANSWER FOR THIS
